"He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion..."

NIV - Philippians 1:6

Timbrel Brigade

The Old Testament references making a joyful noise unto the Lord! It also speaks of an instrument called the “timbrel! The Salvation Army is sometimes a “noisy” place to worship  and adding to the excitement is our “Timbrel Brigade!” A ‘timbrel” is a tambourine and we train our young people to play with purpose and in a syncopated manner often accompanied by our senior band.  It is truly a sight to behold and guaranteed to lift your spirits in praise to the Lord!

In keeping with our “military speak” we call our junior choir the “Singing Company.”  Weekly rehearsals train our children in the mechanics and dynamics of singing and the “Company” gets to present their worship pieces in Sunday morning meetings and on special occasions.  The group is open to children ages 5-16 with the older youth often doing special items apart from the whole group.
